I purchased this unit (as a bundle with photo paper and extra ink) for my company to use during a Valentine's Day promo. Part of the dinner package was getting a keepsake picture that was placed in a decorative card. Our customers loved it and almost all of them commented on how great the pictures looked and how quickly we could print them out. This printer work fantastically for this use case.For clarification of our use, one of our employees would take a portrait photo with their company issued iPhone 12. Then, using the Canon app, they would print the photo immediately after taking the picture. They would place a glue drop on the back of the printed photo and place it in a decorative card. The entire process including taking the picture took about one minute after the employees got the hang of it. Customer feedback was very positive.For picture quality, I can only say that I think the print outs are very good. After testing the product before deploying it, I printed a personal picture taken with a DSLR that had a lot of contrasting colors and textures. The picture looked like it was processed from film. With respect to some reviews stating poor print quality, I have to say that the quality of your photo will definitely affect the quality of the print out. That said, pictures taken with an iPhone were totally respectable given our use case. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this unit again.With respect to the included carrying case: I bought this unit in February of 2022. The case I received did not have foam. I was able to fit the printer, it's photo paper tray, it's power brick and cable, plus 108 photo paper sheets and 2+1 ink cartridges (one being inserted into the printer already). I have included a picture of the layout of the case with all the above mentioned pieces.Setup was not at all intuitive. Canon, like every other company has gotten lazy with the quality of instructions that is included. However, youtube exists and there are a plethora of videos that show exactly how to set up this printer with a variety of different connection methods. Following one of the videos simplified the process greatly and it was easy to master once the steps were known. Again, for reference, we used the method of directly connecting to the printer via it's own wifi mode to keep things simple. If you get too far from the printer, your phone will disconnect and most likely automatically reconnect to whatever wifi internet you had setup before. You'll have to manually go into your wifi settings and reconnect to the printer to use the app in this mode. A little inconvenient but easy to fix (once you're back in range) and easy to avoid once you understand the limitations.If you have a modern smartphone or essentially any dedicated camera, the print quality of your photos should meet expectations. The extreme edges of your photo make come off with the perforated sides. Just make sure your subject is either in the center of your picture or generously visible on the sides and you should be happy with the printed results.Bought this as a backup for if and when our main printer goes down for our photo booth that one was like $2,000. This one was very affordable and takes or Prince great pictures however it was super confusing and complicated to configure it to print the photos from the photo booth properly.I wanted a smaller printer that would print several sizes to craft in my Travelers notebook. This is perfect. I can print 4x6, 2x2, 2x6 and even stickers. I love the portability of this and the option to even buy a separate battery pack to make is truly wireless.Outstanding for printing a few pictures at home. Takes some time for photo to reach printer about 2 minutes.Do NOT use as a Photobooth printer under any circumstances. Purchase a DNP photo printer for that.I had an older model, it went bad so now I have a newer model, I love itI want to be able to print pictures easily with having to use our laptop. This is perfect for thatMy wife loves it. All her scrappy friends have one but her. Not no more. I seen some pics from it an loved the quality.Used it a handful of times, just waiting for my photo album and will be printing out way more pictures.
