I wanted to try these to serve as a microwaveable bowl. One issue I encounter is it's impossible to find disposable, microwaveable bowls that are large enough to hold anything more than a couple of scoops of ice cream (or maybe one large scoop). Maybe I'm just greedy, but if I'm eating dinner, I'd like more than a single ladle of soup or stew. The only larger bowls I find are foam, which, of course, can't go into the microwave.These are a helpful alternative. I tried making ramen in them, the ones that come in individual packages and only have stovetop directions. The container was too small to put the whole package, so I broke it in half and filled the container about half-way with water. I put it in the microwave for three minutes, then took it out to stir it up and help push the parts that were still above water below the water line. After that I put it in the microwave for another two to three minutes.At three minutes, one of them boiled over, so I did two minutes for the next one. The experiment worked out well. I was able to eat my ramen using these containers. Adding toppings to the ramen was difficult since the container isn't huge, but it was doable. The containers didn't get soggy or anything throughout my dinner, so they work well.
